Alliance for Health Security Cooperation (AHSC)
The Alliance for Health Security Cooperation is a platform for international and non-governmental collaboration on the development of global health security policy. It has 30+ member states and a large number of private sector and non-government organisation (NGO) participants. Australia currently co-chairs the Alliance with Finland.
The Indo-Pacific Centre for Health Security leads Australia’s engagement with the Alliance, and provides secretariat support to resource the Alliance’s analytical work program.
The Alliance Advisory Group maintains a rolling workplan of collaborative expert policy dialogues. Past work areas have included:
- Global Preparedness Financing
- Research and Development for Health Security
- Workforce development (especially Field Epidemiology Training Programs [FETP])
The policy papers formed from previous dialogues can be accessed through the Alliance’s website at alliancehsc.org.
