Our impact so far

  • Supported the ‘Sleeves up’ communications campaign to fight vaccine hesitancy, manage misinformation and reach vulnerable groups.
  • Targeted support helped PNG’s Treaty villages to reach a vaccination rate over 24% and in Western Province a rate of more than 4%, compared to the national average pf 1.9% for the same period (as at 20 October).
  • Funding for a private vaccine clinic in Port Moresby, which has administered 31,000 (13% of total) vaccines in PNG as of 30 September 2021.
  • Provided direct funding to 21 provincial health authorities and the Bougainville Department of Health, to support the operational expenditure for the vaccine rollout including distribution, training and equipment.
