The Indo-Pacific Centre for Health security in partnership with the governments of Myanmar and Cambodia and Population Services International is helping countries increase their in-county capability to mount a rapid and effective health emergency responses.
Having the systems, people and coordination in place prior to a health emergency greatly increases the effectiveness of crisis response. Funding from the Health Security Initiative will help establish sub-national emergency operations centres, facilitate after action reviews, simulation exercises and improve cross-sectoral coordination.
