Our Impact So Far

Our funding has supported UNICEF to:

• procure and distribute over 1,900 refrigerators to upgrade Vietnam’s cold chain storage and boost cold chain capacity for remote and hard-to-reach communities.

• Develop a suite of health communications for local Centres for Disease Control (CDCs) across all 63 provinces and deliver online training related to the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccination program in Vietnam.

• Plan and deploy more than 5,000 mobile vaccination and home vaccination teams to reach vulnerable populations who have difficulty accessing fixed vaccination sites, such as ethnic minority populations living in remote villages, the elderly and people with disabilities.

• Conduct a nationwide online survey on the behavioural and social drivers concerning COVID-19 vaccine uptake to inform vaccination campaign strategies.

• Develop and disseminate COVID-19 vaccination communication materials to 20,000 vaccination sites across the country.

• Facilitate the training of more than 5,800 health care workers, teachers from medical universities, and military officers to support the delivery of safe and effective vaccines.
