This partnership develops and implement innovative open-source digital health tools suitable for our region, to improve health outcomes in low-resource settings. This includes Open mSupply, Tamanu, Tupaia, Tupaia MediTrak and DataTrak, and the SENAITE Laboratory Information System and Health Supply Hub. These tools enhance healthcare delivery and data management, making health systems more efficient and effective.
The partnership is enabling the expansion of the Data & Technical Assistance Centre (DTAC) to provide services to countries that request help. DTAC functions to improve long-term medicine availability by implementing proven systems and processes, and ensures staff are trained, equipped and capable to extract maximum benefit from these systems.
A full-time support desk in Suva, Fiji has already been established under the partnership and will localise and ensure long-term sustainability of support and maintenance for Tamanu, Tupaia and SENAITE.
Beyond Essential Systems and The mSupply Foundation are providing regional support and sustainable support mechanisms for systems and the use of data for decision-making in 12 countries (Fiji, FSM, Kiribati, Myanmar, Nauru, Palau, PNG, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu).
Country-level implementations that have additional funding support are underway in Kiribati, Nauru, Palau, Solomon Islands, Timor-Leste, Tonga.
