Strengthening Standards Capability Project (SSCP)

The Strengthening Standards Capability Project (SSCP) will support partner countries to improve adoption and development of digital health data and interoperability standards. Development objectives for partner countries (Philippines - Core & Fiji) include improved ability to share electronic health data, enhanced capacity and self-sustained local expertise in digital health standards adoption, development and interoperability and are supported to improve public health outcomes including health equity through strengthened disease surveillance and data driven decision making. The primary focus of the project will be in the Philippines with a vision to advance standards development and adoption across the Philippine digital health ecosystem. In Fiji, there will be limited scope of project delivery with a focus on capability development in data governance, and open standards development and adoption. A toolbox of digital resources will be developed by in-country stakeholders to upskill and refine the development of data and interoperability standards. Technical guidance will also be offered for the creation of these foundational tools i.e. core data set for interoperability and core FHIR implementation guide that will serve as building blocks in a limited Proof-of-concept (POC) infrastructure environment. Connectathons will bring vendors together to reduce technical barriers.
